I saw this commercial on television a few days back.  To begin with, I had thought it was a music video.  It is just too good not to share.

I don’t know what the creator’s were eating, drinking, smoking, or injecting when they conceptualized this commercial.  Original idea, fantastic animation, and very entertaining.  The soundtrack is also worth searching for and downloading.

Enough with all the blabber.  Just check the video out for yourselves.

*Update* I enjoyed the track in the video so much, that after some web digging, it turns out that the track is titled “Let’s Roll” from a Kuwaiti hip-hop band called Army Of One who just released their debut album entitled ‘Hush’. 

I managed to download a few tracks off the album and was very impressed.  The tracks are fast paced, high-energy, and Arabic infused with hip-hop flows and lyrics.

Built on 160 acres, this 53,000 square-foot stone and wood mansion carries a price tag of $155 million; making it the world’s most expensive home. 

Timber and real estate baron, Tim Blixseth, ranks No. 322 in the 2006 Forbes 400 list with a $1.2 billion fortune.  Developer and owner of the mansion which is located in the Yellowstone Club (a members-only, Blixseth-developed residential ski and golf resort near Bozeman, Montana), Blixseth believes it won’t be hard to find a buyer at that price.  In fact, he claims he’s already received interest in the home.

That tops the $139 million asking price for Updown Court in Windlesham, England, which was listed No. 1 in the Forbes.com list of the world’s most expensive homes in 2006.  And it also exceeds the $125 million that U.S. media mogul and reality TV star Donald Trump is asking for the renovated estate he owns in Palm Beach, Florida.

The $155 million fully furnished home comes with:

• 10 bedrooms
• a private gondola-like chairlift that will carry residents to the Yellowstone Club’s private ski slopes
• an indoor/outdoor swimming pool
• a home movie theater

Forget about who has the biggest yacht.  The emerging battleground for bragging rights these days is who will lay claim to the world’s most expensive home.

How long do you have left?

The word “wicked” in the title above has a double meaning.  In today’s slang terminology, wicked could mean:  cool, excellent, very good; or as the Oxford Dictionary describes the word, wicked could mean:  evil, bad, immoral.  The prank I’m about to describe walks a thin line between both meanings – at least in my opinion.

A prankster at heart, I seldom let an opportunity pass where I can play a practical joke on a friend or colleague.  I do it all…from spontaneous pranks, to fully thought out and pre-planned pranks.  TV shows that are guaranteed to have me on the floor laughing include Punk’d, Scare Tactics, Jackass, and the various Candid Camera shows.

Here is a potentially fun, yet quite daring idea for a prank.  Picture this scene:

You are sitting quietly next to someone on a train or on a plane.  There hasn’t been much contact or communication between you thus far.  You calmly pull out your laptop and turn it on.  While you wait for it to load, you turn to the gentleman/lady sitting beside you and give them a gracious smile.  You then mysteriously close your eyes and tilt your head up to the sky for a few moments.  You now definitely have their attention.  You then proceed to click the following link…

It’s a gutsy attempt in the least…but the various possible reactions make it all worthwhile – and yes, I have considered the possibility of getting arrested

I’ve been regularly attending a private gym since September 2006.  I have a personal trainer who structured a challenging work-out program for me with the aim of losing body fat, toning my body, and improving my fitness. 

Last week, after completing just over 3 months of strenuous training, it came time for a fitness exam.  They tested my VO2 Max (which is the volume of oxygen you can consume while exercising at your maximum capacity), my body fat percentage, and my flexibility.  The results of my fitness exam were very satisfying; but what stood out most was my body fat percentage of 18%.  Now, I’m a pretty thin guy, and I’ve been working out religiously for the last 3-4 months.  I never expected to have so much fat in my body! Well, considering the many food articles I’ve posted on ‘The Theme’, its pretty obvious I’m not a very healthy eater…

Anyhow, I found my body fat percentage to be quite shocking, so I did a little research and decided to share the results with you.

Body fat percentage is simply the percent of fat your body contains.  If you weigh 70 kg (such as myself), then 18% means your body consists of 13 kg of body fat and 57 kg of lean body mass (bone, muscle, tissue, blood and everything else).

A certain amount of fat however is essential to bodily functions.  Fat regulates body temperature, cushions and insulates organs and tissues, and is the main form of the body’s energy storage.

So, when someone says they want to “lose weight”, they should not measure it in ‘lbs’ or ‘kgs’, but rather a loss in body fat.  In my case, rather than say I want to lose 3 or 5 kgs, a more realistic goal would be to lower my body fat percentage from 18% to 16%.  Loosing more weight than is needed means losing lean body mass (usually metabolically active muscle tissue), which is not desirable nor healthy.

If you don’t attend a gym that has the proper equipement to test for body fat, then this site provides straight forward, ”do-it-yourself” instructions that should help give you a rough estimate of where you stand in the table above. 

A little more of cardio and a little less of burgers and cheese-steaks should put me in the “Fitness” category.
