How Far Would You Go…For A Plasma TV? November 23, 2006

Your friend calls you up and asks you to go over to his/her place to check out the new Sony Plasma Screen TV they just bought. He/She asks you to pick up a DVD on the way over so you guys can chill-out and watch a movie with High Definition. You arrive, and the set-up looks great. You congratulate them and take a seat on the couch.

You notice the TV is placed way too low and ask why it wasn’t hung up higher on the wall. Your friend ignores you and asks you to pop in the DVD. You do so. A good while into the movie, the picture gets distorted and your friend disappears behind the wall to fix the problem. You scratch your head in confusion and ask if they need any help. A few minutes later, you walk back there to assist and see this!

How far would you go for a Plasma Screen TV? Or better yet…how far would some people go for the appearance of a Plasma Screen TV? In any case, I gotta give this guy an “A” for effort!!
Surely they can tell the difference between CRT & plasma, In any case, plasmas suck; screen burn, resolution, price, etc. LCDs are where its at IMO especially on the xbox 360.
Haha.
Long back in the days of no-cable/satellite televisions (yeah seems like reallly long back) we had terrestial TVs which needed antennae/aerials to be installed on terrace tops for receiving the signal. Even then some people (similar to the ones you mention above) would just plonk an antenna/aerial on their terrace tops — even when they didn’t have a TV inside the house!
Hahaha…..Come on dude, admit that is your bedroom…
th14 – I agree LCDs are the way to go..
Rahul – Haha, those people had it easy back in the day, this freak had to go through so much trouble to create the appearance…
toxy – remember when you called me a few days back and asked me to pick up a DVD on the way over to your place to watch on your new Plasma TV?
